Our Story
Built on the Belief That Financial Knowledge Matters
Finsavva was founded with one clear purpose: to make structured, credible financial education accessible to working Malaysians.

Finsavva: Knowledge With Purpose
Finsavva was established in Kuala Lumpur by a group of finance practitioners and educators who noticed a gap between the complexity of the financial world and the knowledge available to ordinary Malaysians. Too many people were making important decisions about savings, investments, and retirement without the conceptual foundation to evaluate their choices.
We set out to address that. Beginning with a small cohort of participants in 2017, we designed our first program around the idea that financial literacy is a skill — one that can be taught systematically, practiced with real-world scenarios, and built upon over time. That cohort led to the next, and over the years Finsavva has grown into a structured education provider with a consistent reputation for thoughtful, facilitator-led learning.
Our programs are not about selling products, promoting specific investments, or creating urgency. They are designed to build genuine understanding — so that participants leave better equipped to make their own considered decisions.
Our Mission
To provide Malaysians with practical, well-structured financial education that empowers thoughtful decision-making — at any stage of life and any level of prior knowledge.
Our Approach
Small cohorts, experienced facilitators, and curricula built around how adults actually learn — through scenarios, discussion, and structured reflection, not passive lectures.
Our Values
Clarity over complexity. Integrity in every session. Respect for each participant's individual circumstances and financial journey.

How We Work
Standards We Maintain
Every aspect of how we deliver and develop our programs is held to consistent professional standards.
HRD Corp Registered
All programs are registered under Malaysia's HRD Corp (formerly HRDF), making them claimable for eligible employers under the Human Resources Development Levy scheme.
Qualified Facilitators
Every program is led by a facilitator with direct professional background in the relevant area — financial planning, investment analysis, or retirement advisory — not generalist trainers.
Updated Curriculum
Program content is reviewed annually to reflect current Malaysian financial regulations, market conditions, and available tools — keeping the learning relevant and practically applicable.
Small Cohort Sizes
We limit cohort sizes to 20 participants to ensure each person receives meaningful attention and sessions remain discussion-oriented rather than lecture-heavy.
Participant Privacy
Personal information and any financial circumstances shared by participants remain strictly confidential. We do not share participant data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Post-Program Feedback
Every cohort concludes with a structured evaluation process. Participant feedback directly informs curriculum refinements and facilitator development on an ongoing basis.
About Financial Education in Malaysia
A Considered Approach to Learning About Money
Financial literacy in Malaysia has grown considerably as a topic of public conversation — yet the practical knowledge required to navigate EPF contributions, unit trust selection, insurance coverage, and debt structuring remains uneven across the population. Many working adults encounter these decisions without adequate context or vocabulary to evaluate them properly.
At Finsavva, our programs are built around the principle that genuine understanding takes time and structure. Our Personal Finance Foundations program gives participants the conceptual building blocks — budgeting methods, savings principles, credit management — before introducing more complex territory. This sequencing reflects how adults retain and apply new knowledge most effectively.
The Investment Literacy Program moves into capital markets, asset classes, and portfolio thinking. It is designed not to steer participants toward particular products but to equip them with the frameworks to assess any investment proposition critically and with confidence. Case studies draw on Malaysian market examples for immediate relevance.
Our Retirement & Long-Term Planning Workshop addresses a concern that many Malaysians share but often defer: preparing for the decades beyond employment. Sessions cover EPF withdrawal strategies, the Private Retirement Scheme (PRS), insurance planning, and basic estate considerations — all within a Malaysian legal and regulatory context. Individual consultation slots allow participants to connect the material to their own situations.
Finsavva is based in Ampang Hilir, Kuala Lumpur, and has served participants from across the Klang Valley since 2017. We welcome enquiries from individuals, employers seeking HRDF-claimable training, and organisations interested in cohort bookings for staff development.
